The IT Risk and Security Analyst will be a member of Global IT Risk & Security, reporting to the Director of Global IT Risk & Security. The position will work in partnership with their team members and other parts of information technology identifying and remediating cyber security incidents such as malware infections. The incumbent will perform routine information technology risk and security administrative tasks, such as granting access.

 

The associate will investigate malware infected personal computers to determine how the infection occurs, what information was lost and how to prevent future infections. The position independently handles complex security tasks, referring questionable cases to more experienced staff. The position will also support products and participate on projects that improve the information technology risk and security posture of the company. He/she requires the ability to work well with others and manage multiple priorities related to a variety of tasks.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot potential security problems reported by customers, systems or team members.          
  • Participate in various cyber security projects as a team member and lead smaller efforts.                 
  • Assists in technical support of security related to third party software, operating systems, or databases. Has developed unique skills & abilities valued by his/her peers.               
  • Work with Deskside support, server administration and other parts of information technology to remediate security service incidents.      
  • Use a log management tool (Splunk), develop search procedures and dashboards as required to identify and remediate cyber security or product incidents.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or related discipline or in lieu of degree 6-8 years of work experience in information technology.

 

Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and 1-3 years of relevant work experience or in lieu of degree 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Information Technology.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Can convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Microsoft products including information technology security tools and basic coding, emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of the organization and business acumen.
