Linux System Administrator - Hosting Services Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor the performance of Linux/Unix systems using various monitoring tools.
• Perform system maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and backups to ensure data integrity and system security.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix operating systems and servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards and organizational IT policies.
• Provide technical support for system-related issues to other teams and users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems to ensure minimal downtime and loss of productivity.
• Implement security tools
• Apply necessary updates and fixes.
• Develop scripts to automate routine system administration tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy. Tools like Ansible
• Participate in IT projects, planning and deploying new infrastructure and services.
• Coordinate with other teams and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in the development and testing of data protection project.

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline 
• 4-7 years proven work experience supporting enterprise scale Linux systems.
• Manages and maintains Linux Server environment including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting in large environment
• Automation or scripting languages (ex: Ansible, Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)
• Demonstrated successful experience in developing efficient and effective solutions to business problems
• Good understanding of networking technologies and protocols
• Customer-oriented attitude, strong work ethics, integrity and accountability for assigned tasks
• Ability to build customer relationships through delivery of stable working solutions and follow-up.
• Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to complete assignments on time and with minimal errors.
• Must be willing to work 2x a week onsite in BGC. Taguig
