Linux Systems Administrator

This position is part of the Digital Factory, as a skilled DevSecOps Engineer with a strong background in system administration. The ideal candidate will focus on supporting our on-premises legacy applications while bringing a forward-thinking approach to modernization and looking for every opportunity to adopt modern cloud solutions. It will be instrumental in automating processes, closing existing operational gaps, and paving the way for future technological advancements.. 
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will manage and maintain on-premises legacy applications.
• You will administer and optimize Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• You will administer Oracle WebLogic Server.
• You will manage Windows Server environments and related applications.
• You will identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and processes.
• You will stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend future improvements.

Education and Certifications:

• You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science, engineering, technology, business administration, or a related discipline.

Experience:

• You must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in IT.
• You must have proven experience with Linux system administration.
• You must be proficient in Windows Server administration and application management.
• You must have strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• You must have a good understanding of a specific application system.
• You must have a good understanding of one or more operating systems.
• You must have basic knowledge of networking standards.
• You must have good organizational, communication, and managerial skills.
• You must have good troubleshooting skills.
• You must have a basic understanding of business processes.
