Procurement Associate Project Lead

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure on-time completion of project deliverables. Verifies the completion of requirements and documentation. Update statuses in project dashboards and systems. Inputs initial project plans into system, maintains progress on an ongoing basis to verify completeness and accuracy throughout the project.
  • You will support linking Supplier Qualification project plans to Procurement's business goals and objectives. Assign stakeholder deliverables to align with project scope and timeline. Develop supplier requirements packages by working with global cross functional stakeholders to understand their project requirements. Translate technical terms into industry standard language and dispensing the needed information and updates. Support the formation of cross-functional teams by task scheduling and resource assignment, including members from: Global Procurement, Quality (all regions/all plants), Global Material Science, Metrology (Akron and Lux), Regional Supply Chain (all regions), Product Stewardship, and Supplier Quality Assurance.
  • You will lead problem solving initiatives and root cause analysis when project deliverables are not met on time or when project plans are at risk of going off track. Accountable for data integrity in project systems. Conflict resolution when plant trial slots are changed or unavailable. Timely communication of project status to management and project members, as well as making sure that project members communicate with each other.
  • You will support the category managers and supplier qualification team lead in validating business cases for supplier qualification projects. Justifications must describe the project importance to the successful completion of the overall long-term category strategy. This will include the financial impact to the strategic business units P&L and long-term leverage as it related to creating competitive advantage for Goodyear in future commercial negotiations with suppliers. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Businesses/Finance, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management specialization, Engineering, or any related field
  • You have 4-5 years of professional experience, ideally within procurement, supply chain, or related field
  • You have experience with project and stakeholder management
  • You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to follow procedures and sequential processes
  • You possess advanced Excel skills, including Macros, and have experience using Microsoft Project
  • You must possess critical thinking skills to analyze/ review orders and drive process efficiencies
  • You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills
