Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Increases the Sales, Market Share and Profitability of Goodyear Philippines Inc.’s portfolio of Consumer products for the Replacement Market
  • Liaises and aligns effectively with regional counterparts (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure integrity of initiatives and annual operating plans to include but not limited to new product development/line extensions, monitoring of product performance, HVA mix improvement, profitability, channel productivity, pricing, promotions and communications
  • Develops and grows brand and business elements critical in ensuring Goodyear's brand and financial viability in the Consumer Replacement markets
  • Works with a broad diversity of resources in driving sales and market share growth, profitability, as well as mix improvement
  • Prepares Annual Marketing Business Plan of the assigned PBU (and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports)
  • Ensures the marketing strategies and plans are effectively and efficiently implemented in support of attaining Consumer Replacement targets in sales, market share and profitability
  • Manages the product portfolio for each of the segments within Consumer Replacement PBU. Includes feasibility analyses and evaluation for new product introductions and/or line extension/rationalization
  • Monitors product performance, coordinates with Finance and Pricing Manager on pricing & profitability, Supply Chain on availability & distribution and Sales for market introduction & penetration
  • Liaises and aligns with regional counterparts to ensure local market needs and ideas are considered in product development and other regional initiatives, compliance to regional product roadmap & rationalization
  • Manages the Consumer PBU's overall P&L including but not limited to retail distribution strategy and marketing investments/spend while achieving respective targets (Market Share, Unit Growth, Gross Margin)
  • Responsible for driving brand and product communications strategy including above-the-line advertising (in coordination with MarCom Manager) and below-the-line promotions to drive overall business targets while promoting Goodyear brand equity and directing trade marketing initiatives in order to drive channel sales productivity, profitability and share for assigned PBU.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related field is required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years in a relevant role, preferably a multinational environment
  • Experience in tire and/or automotive industry an advantage
  • Knowledge in market analysis, financial analysis, customer relations, budget management, needs analysis, strategic planning and brand positioning is preferred
  • Must have leadership and people-management skills that will enable the development of a high-performing marketing organization
  • Must be a people developer, self-starter, independent person and has strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Has proven ability for strategic analysis/thinking, product commercialization process and consumer lifecycle marketing
  • Has good communication and presentation skills including strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively deal with multiple global, regional and market executive teams and employees
  • With high level of personal and professional credibility
