In this position, the incumbent will be responsible in leading, delivering, coordinating and implementing project plans for projects being managed by GBS Project Management Office (this would include process migration projects, finance and non-finance projects and continuous improvements initiatives). In doing so, they will be expected to consult and coordinate a broad range of stakeholders, including internal GBS management, global/regional IT, local country leadership and other global/regional process owners. This position will also help identify, initiate, coordinate and implement global initiatives for their process based on a set of project success criteria. Working hand-in-hand with other global/regional process owners.

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Manage uncertainties on the project with appropriate contingency and mitigation plans which includes documenting and maintaining risks & issues of the project, and monitor and control the project throughout its life cycle
  • Maintain the project plan to ensure project success and assure that project scope changes are documented and approved
  • Manage, either formally or through influence, the engagement of the assigned project team members to successfully execute the project
  • Develop the team dynamics to be effective at working together and develop each team members with required training and coaching
  • Ensure project communications support successful completion
    • Proper stakeholder analysis, communication planning, organizational change management analysis and planning
    • Be a project point of contact for key stakeholders
    • Ensure lessons learned are documented and routed to appropriate stakeholders for dissemination
  • Work with the project manager, assigned project team members and contributors to successfully create the project plan with sufficient detail to enable resource estimation

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4- 5 years’ experience of working in a Project Management or Consulting environment
  • Strong project and change management skills, familiarity with project management approaches and tools required
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of internal stakeholders and ability to influence others towards a common goal
  • Experience of identifying and implementing process and/or technology changes
  • In-depth and demonstrable knowledge of their specific process to project manage (e.g. Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT)
  • Knowledge and experience on project, risk and change management
  • Excellent proficiency of Computer Applications with intermediate Microsoft Office platforms (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Organization and prioritization skills, ability to manage workload and respect deadlines
  • Accurate numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Possesses high ethical standards and honesty
