This role will report directly to the Internal Audit Manager, AP region, and will perform various assurance and advisory services for Goodyear.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Auditor in your assigned audit engagements in conducting audit planning activities to develop audit scope, audit program, testing methodology, and time budget.
• Execute audit tests for assigned areas and ensure that the testing is properly documented in accordance with the Goodyear Global Internal Audit Playbook, and is completed as scheduled and within the budget.
• Identify observations and process improvements and draft audit communication letters containing their root cause and recommended action plans. Keep the audit engagement team members informed in a timely manner of these findings and communicate with the audit stakeholders or process owners to gain their alignment.
• Support the Lead Auditor in the reporting phase of the audit and in monitoring the progress of the engagement. Maintain positive relationships with the audit customers to ensure that the audit assistance needed to complete the audit fieldwork is obtained in a timely and efficient manner.
• Actively participate in both the Internal Audit team and management discussions to drive the business partnership. These include attendance in town halls, training and/or assigned workshops, and risk assessment discussions.
• Monitor the resolution of audit issues and participate in the remediation testing of management action plans to close the audit observations.
• Lead or participate in ad hoc reviews or projects as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Prior auditing work experience with exposure to both finance and manufacturing operations is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance.
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Advanced certification in Internal Audit “Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)” or “Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)” would be a plus
• Demonstrates a high level of understanding of business and financial processes and internal controls.
• Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), The IIA (Institute of Internal Auditing) Standards, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 with emphasis on Section 404 of the Act.
• Understanding and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e. ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to handle multiple audits at once.
• Possesses planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills to efficiently execute audits and build working relationships with customers and audit associates.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Works effectively as a team member but can work independently with minimum guidance at least in audit areas.
• Able to travel internationally to Asia Pacific locations to perform onsite audit fieldwork, compliance reviews, or investigation procedures.
