About the position: 

 

The Quality Engineer - Entry conducts research, analysis, and experimentation on compounds and raw materials, for such purposes as product and process development and application, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and improvement of analytical methodologies by performing the following duties:

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and modifies formulas, processes, and methods for solution of technical problems

  • Monitors the quality of rubber compounds, calendered components, and raw material

  • Conducts processing trials at mixers, extruders, calenders, tire building machines, or curing presses

  • Conducts evaluations of new raw materials

  • Suggests and/or implements new processes to improve manufacturing operations

  • Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests

  • Assists in finding and implementing solutions for tire conditions

Education:

Bachelors degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.

 

Experience:

  • 0 or more years experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment and process problems
  • Rubber & plastic processing or compounding experience preferred
  • Mixing / Tire experience preffered 
  • Manufacturing environment familiarity preferred
