Primary Purpose of the Position                                                                                              

Act as an HR Business Partner to the Management Team of the Tilburg Aviation plant (70% of the time), counseling and coaching on how to obtain the best contribution and engagement from the workers and staff while complying with the local laws and company policies.                                                                                             

Lead, implement and organize the effective organizational development for the plant. Ensure the successful operation of HR functions such as recruitment and selection, personnel administration, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, talent management, performance, development and succession, engagement and internal culture.                               

Support the Goodyear Sales and Marketing hub in the Netherlands (30% of the time) in a generalist HR role.                                                                        

Support development and roll-out of HR strategies and projects to support immediate and future needs within EMEA Aviation (manufacturing & SAG) and the Sales and Marketing hub, in accordance with EMEA policies and programs.                               


Principle Duties and Responsibilities     

Act as Business Partner for management by counseling and coaching and displaying in-depth understanding of industry, business conditions and local labor market.             

Workforce staffing: together with management properly plan and staff the organization for the execution of the business plan, lead the recruitment process and closely collaborate with the business and external agencies where needed.            

Training & development: Drive organizational capability through effective training & development initiatives. Drive training and education systems in the plant.              

Performance management: implement and maintain performance management practices and processes for all associates according to company standards. Close cooperation with people managers on performance issues and disciplinary issues.       

Absenteeism: Drive the reduction of the short-term absenteeism for hourly associates by various actions (close cooperation with team leaders and managers and open communication with various stakeholders)

Minimum 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role:

Previous experiences in the fields of Talent Management, Change Management and Recruitment are necessary.

Experience with HR in a manufacturing environment is a plus.    

Knowledge & skills:

  • Solid knowledge of Dutch labor law
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in change leadership and strategical business partnering
  • Ability to influence people and take decisions
  • High level of initiative; proactive & action orientated
  • Act with integrity, energize teams, promote collaboration, be agile, deliver results
  • Fluent in Dutch & English
