Primary Purpose of the Position:

  • Accountable for the end to end supply chain blocks of work associated with both Demand & Supply Planning across all Planning Horizons ( R vs CC - 5 year, Sales & Operations Planning -18 months, Sales & Operations Execution - weekly and daily) collaborating with functional stakeholders, supplying locations/plants, business teams and Regional Planning Organization to deliver aligned PBU /Cluster goals and objectives relative to EBIT, FCF, product availability, Inventory quality and Customer services.
  • With the help of Demand Planning Manager and taking into account the inputs from the Go TO Market teams of sales, marketing and product planning, drive a consensus demand planning process using the principles of assumption based demand planning approach and using multiple views of the forecast to deliver an aligned S&OP and S&OE demand plan that is doable with risks and opportunities and trigger points defined. 
  • Lead and responsible for supply execution initiatives for all SRI and overseas (import) products.
  • This includes management of order placement to the source plants (SRI and overseas), appropriate replenish plan/order from SRI to DCs, accurate inventory data and day-to-day negotiation of SKU-wise adjustment for production volume as well as replenishment plan.
  • With the help of Senior Supply Planning/Import Staffs, develop an aligned supply plan, taking the inputs from the consensus demand planning process, that takes into consideration supplier / vendor capability, capacity, inventory objectives / 8  reasons of Inventory / inventory quality with an objective to plan and deliver the right tires to the right customers at the right time, right place and in the right quantities.
  • Drive Supply & Demand Planning Process health improvement besides accountable for S&OP Process health for the PBU and Cluster , collaborating with the Cluster Supply Chain Director and the Planning Director AP Supply Chain and his/her COE demand and supply Planning leads .


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local demand and supply planning processes, cross-functional meetings and operations for the  PBUs/ Clusters . Ensure that appropriate processes are followed , relevant data and facts are brought to the table to make  business choices and decisions using the S&OP forums .        
  • Provide guidance for and generate the total consensus SKU level forecasts (for all planning horizons) for both demand & supply to ensure alignment with business direction and consistency with market trends. Communicate consensus plans and the assumptions 
  • Serve as liaison between Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Finance,  Order to Deliver teams , Regional Planning Organization to assure that all sales and supply forecasts are accurate; provide updated guidance as needed and communicate back decisions on allocation to the cross-functional team.        
  • Be well-versed and knowledgeable in forecasting , demand planning, supply planning , inventory planning , customer requirements , service criterion  both from business and system perspectives. Be responsible for data maintenance, forecast data integrity, understanding of assumptions changes  both for demand & supply and reasons to believe the forecast.         
  • Lead the S&OP Process - health and the quality of the outcome , for the PBU / Cluster and enable decision making process to ensure that the EBIT , FCF , Customer service goals of the PBU & Cluster is delivered . Lead the Inventory planning and deployment planning ( inbound and outbound ) blocks of work for supply planning to ensure the availability of the right tire at the right time and at the right selling nodes / DCs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Planning, Economics or other related degree
  • 10-15 years experience in Supply Chain leading S&OP Process in demand and supply planning / inventory planning in a medium to big multinational/global company of repute.
  • Well versed with Demand Planning , Supply/Inventory/Deployment Planning and equipped with necessary analytical and subject matter understanding of the interfaces between demand/supply with customer service and logistics and distribution.
  • Knowledge in integrated supply chain systems, SAP APO DP, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Good understanding of forecast models and methods, supply chain processes and practices.
  • Core skills: leadership, analysis, decision making, influencing, organizing, initiative, flexibility, tenacity, effective communication, creativity, driving for results, building effective relationships with people at all levels, driving for change/improvement.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Knowledge and expertise in business statistics preferred but not mandatory
  • Sufficient English skills in business communication (listening, speaking, reading and writing) is mandatory .
  • Well versed in working with multiple stake holders - country/regional/global.
  • Intellectually curious, challenges the paradigm, knows the right balance between hands on and hands-free operations .
  • Have a knack towards data based decision making and can work in ambiguous circumstances and has the ability to navigate through challenging situations using collaborative skills, subject matter expertise and communication skills
