Primary Purpose of Position:
Assure the manufacturing process within specified Business Center meets objectives related to safety, quality, cost & delivery. Develop & drive strategies that align with objectives. Drive the Business Center Operation to scorecard attainment.
Create culture of continuous improvement to promote lean & efficient process. Lead CI initiatives within the Business Center with a sense of urgency.
Review & evaluate Business Center budget requirements for capital expenditures, labor, production/operations, etc. Assure budget objectives are met.
Drive initiatives that promote the continuous development of associates. Develop Workforce Planning to ensure ongoing succession planning within the Business Center
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead performance & set objectives of the Business Center Staff to ensure safety, quality, production, & delivery goals are not being met
- Create environment promoting the growth & development of Business Center Staff by assuring ongoing training, development & compliance
- Provide development & coaching of Area Managers within Business Center
- Monitor & control costs related to the plant including labor, materials & equipment
- Create & implement long-term vision strategies for the operations that support plant & corporate objectives
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field
Experience:
- 5 years' experience in management role within manufacturing environment.
- Experience in driving strategy with day-to-day operations to team.
- Management experience in a union environment (as applicable).
Skills:
- Ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve plant goals & objectives.
- Strong communication, business, technical, analytical & planning skills.
- Demonstrated leadership & team building skills.
