Primary Purpose of the Position:

• Derive for & audit safety, environmental & other regulatory compliances required on plant equipment & safety.
• Manage, track & analyze engineering expense & capital budgeting to ensure compliance.
• Manage resources to ensure the proper design, installation, modification & maintainability of new & existing plant equipment, buildings & facilities.
• Manage the necessary engineering & maintenance support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.

 Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety, environmental & other regulatory compliances by working with appropriate associates on EHS issues, following the implementation of MSR’s & continually improving the communication across all relevant departments.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering services, equipment selection & procurement, provide administrative services, program coordination, budgeting & control of operating expenditures in support of the plant.

Education:

• Required:  BS - Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Desired:  MBA.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years engineering/maintenance management in an industrial environment.
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary technical associates to achieve cost effective goals.
• Equipment design experience, along with project engineering or project management role.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of computerized layouts, spreadsheets & data management.
• Requires strong communication, business, technical, analytical & planning skills.
• Ability to understand plant layouts, capital estimating, associate-man computations, tire cost structure & MFG equipment processes.
