About the Position

New Product Industrialization develops tire specifications for new products and supports the plant by interfacing with internal and external organizations.  Ensure product and quality systems integrity.  Implement new products and processes, and resolve product performance issues.  Drive and improve customer satisfaction of products by supplying high quality test and prototype tires.  

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform activities that involve issuing reports, conducting product quality audits, maintaining and interpreting product, process and material specifications and drawings. 
  • Improve manufacturing capability, competitiveness, and product quality within the manufacturing process.  
  • Carry out activities that involve facilitating development tire builds, issuing product, process or material specifications, analyzing data, and conducting process and equipment trials.          
  • Execute activities involving continuous improvement tools, analysis of product irregularities, recommending solutions and facilitating cost improvements. These duties would include training and instruction of appropriate team members and day-to-day floor support.   
  • Identify and correct unacceptable performance through analysis and technical knowledge of the product and process. 
  • Perform activities that drive compliance to audits necessary to improve and maintain the product, process and quality system.        

        

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

 

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Co-Op or internship experience is preferred.      
  • Computer literate in MS Office, SAP, Excel VBA, X3D & Catia preferred.
  • Knowledge of tire manufacturing process preferred.
  • Statistical analysis and process control preferred.
