Develops and modifies formulas, processes, and methods for solution of technical problems
Monitors the quality of rubber compounds, calendered and extruded components, and raw material
Conducts processing trials at mixers, extruders, calenders, tire building machines, or curing presses
Conducts evaluations of new raw materials
Suggests and/or implements new processes to improve manufacturing operations
Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests
Assists in finding and implementing solutions for tire conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Tire experience
Manufacturing environment familiarity
Job Specific Duties
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
Documents data obtained during all quality systems activities, consistent with company policy and procedures.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality systems activities.
Aids and assists in any and all efforts to adhere to and maintain BMS and ISO compliance.
Leads internal audits and coordinates external audit activity for the team.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality systems activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Serves on and leads teams in waste reduction. Maintains waste related charts.
