The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising of all warehouse and utility employees with daily job duties involving stocking, assembly and loading of tires. The ideal candidate will manage and prioritize the workflow, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound operations, maintain safety standards, and enforce company policies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with inventory control for accurate stock management, organize and clean the warehouse to prevent mis-shipments, and train staff in safe efficient work practices. Additionally, you will oversee timecard accuracy, conduct daily safety inspections, and collaborate with the Transportation Department to resolve shipping issues and expedite deliveries.
- Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected.
Shift Information: Monday-Friday, 1st shift: 7am-3.30pm
Work Environment: Distribution Center in Tupelo, MS
- The job is within a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, fumes, and noise.
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelors degree, or 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience working in the transportation industry
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to lift heavy materials, stand, squat and bend with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems
